When it comes to hard drive failure, it’s not a matter of “if” as much as “when”
The average life of a hard drive is 5 years and you need to be sure you have a good backup of all your data.
There are several ways to back up your data and most work as intended. This is great for your pictures, music, videos, documents, etc but what about your Operating System, settings, software?
This is where “Real” backup software plays the biggest role.
Many people will download software that claims to back up your entire system to include the Operating System and once it’s done, the end user (you) thinks they’re all set until that backup needs to be restored and they suddenly find it wasn’t as good as they thought.
I have been online for 20 years and tried most every backup software available and some at a rather large cost and have been disappointed 99% of the time.
There is one piece of software that I have been using for almost 2 decades (now goes by a different name) and this software has never, and I mean NEVER failed!
With this software, if your drive fails and needs to be replaced, you simply install a new drive and prep it accordingly and then boot from the recovery disc that you create at the time you do your first backup. You then select the device where your backup is located. This can be a flash drive, external hard drive or even a secondary hard drive inside your computer. You then sit back and let it run. Once complete, the system reboots and you’ll be looking at exactly what you were looking at before the drive failed.
